I’ve popped a pan on the stove. Tea will be served in about 45-minutes. Do draw up a chair and let’s stare at each other, panicking about what to say, as all the devices are down.
Here we are Tuesday and I have only just finished reading your last Substack addition Gareth. I kept starting then something happened or someone phoned. At least we didn't have a power cut. You survived guys and rather well by the sounds of it. It's amazing how we do survive and adapt. Looks as though you've got (another) busy week. So take time to breath and look forward to your IG and Substack
I know what you mean about always being right: it’s both a blessing and a curse! Why don’t they just listen to us?? I love your ramblings SO much; I look forward to “hearing” you every week 👍🏽
Pamela Van(Derson), I love it! I also love your log burner, very useful in adverse weather conditions. Glad you all weathered the storm and got power back eventually.
Lovely to read your blog again Gareth. We were very lucky down here, we had strong winds and rain Thursday overnight. But now another storm is brewing and it is blowing a hoolie out there. 'm glad you are all restored now. Thank goodness for log burners!
Did you have a mobile signal? So often when the media refer to outages they only mention electricity. But having both no ability to communicate, which would be true for so many people, must be especially grim.
Always the same happiness as this chronicle of the life of 2 happy guys in their Scottish cottage. Thank you Gareth
